Having our house built was a really enjoyable and interesting time. We were living next door to the building site so experienced every step first hand. We were, very quickly, impressed with Peter’s thorough preparation; he knew the plans, he liased positively and thoughtfully with the architects, materials were ordered well in advance and arrived on time, sub-contractors were well briefed and overseen with a friendly attentiveness, and there was, consequently, a very positive, relaxed, industrious atmosphere on the site. And we really didn’t have a moment’s worry. I guess what we most appreciated then, and still do everyday, is the workmanship which went into the house. There was always an attention to detail in the smallest tasks – shown by both the Coastal Builders’ team, and also by all Peter’s different sub-contractors. Thinking back on how all this worked so well, we reckon there were a number of things which under-pinned it: excellent preparation, thorough organization, strong and positive people-skills, pride taken in the work, and, because of all these qualities, a confidence in thoughtfully dealing with any issues which arose. We really can’t fault the whole experience.
